The Standard Double Room is the one we’d book ourselves. Two of you, one double bed dressed in fresh linen, and the dead centre of Nakuru through the window. The Deluxe Twin Room is a twin built to our deluxe standard, which is a different proposition from two beds pushed into a small room. Both beds are full singles, properly spaced, each with its own lamp and its own socket. There is a seating corner and a desk that one of you can work at while the other sleeps, and a wardrobe with a side each. It’s the room for colleagues on the same job, field teams working the Rift, and sisters who love each other dearly but not that dearly at six in the morning.
